2020 Infiniti Q80 * Price * Engine * Release Date
2020 Infiniti Q80. The concept car, presented at the Paris Motor Show 2014, was awarded the iF Design award in the “Professional Visualization” category. The stunning Q8 Inspiration design won the award of an international jury of 58 members. The car concept was chosen to receive the award from the total list of 5,295 entries from 53 countries. Inspired by the stunning vision of the future design language of the brand, the Infiniti Q80 was awarded one of the most prestigious design awards in the entire field.
Infiniti is trying to rediscover itself as a brand. Unfortunately, they are still far from becoming an excellent manufacturer that they desire. However, they arrive and cars like the Infiniti Q80 Inspiration Concept make us think only about what the manufacturer can do. At the moment, this is just a concept. However, it seems that there may be a small chance to introduce the car into production. At this stage, the Infiniti does not really have a rival full-size sedan suitable, which is a real shame. The Q80 will solve that and give them real leadership that may face competitors such as the S or Class VII.
There is not much information when it comes to the concept and its statute. However, if the car enters the production stage, it is safe to assemble them, and will not use the old FM architecture of Nissan. Instead, we may see a specially designed platform for high-end cars in the future. This new platform is likely to be a building made entirely of aluminum without a lot of steel.
However, some may include carbon fiber inserts that will enhance key areas around the vehicle. As expected, the vehicle containing this premium must have a high-quality undercarriage. We hope that even the basic model has an air suspension system. This will not only give the driver more control over the car but will also make him more comfortable and better at driving.
2020 Infiniti Q80 Release Date and Price
At the moment, Infiniti did not say anything about the launch date. However, the concept did not seem far from the production vehicle. This may mean that it is closer than we thought at first, so it will not surprise us if the production version of the Infiniti Q80 Inspiration Concept reaches the market sometime in 2020. It is likely to be about $ 100,000 for a basic model. But things can change by then.
2020 Infiniti Q80 Design
Unfortunately, the Infiniti Q80 Inspiration Concept is not really a car that will enter production without changes. While it would be possible, we doubt that the manufacturer would do something like this. However, there are some design signals that are likely to go to the market.
First of all, there should be a slanted roofline, relatively low cover and “floating” C columns. The full glass ceiling, the 22-inch large wheels or even the chrome, may not be quite interesting. The car will remain like Infiniti with the same network type as the models that did not move. However, the back will be somewhat different with a much cleaner design that was available at the time. Being an idea, the Q80 Inspiration has a very simple and futuristic booth that will not reach production in the short term.
However, the car offers some interesting design signals, such as a curved panel design or the new type of steering wheel. While the rest of the cabin will probably remain in the visualization stage, the rest should reach the market in some future Infiniti cars.
2020 Infiniti Q80 Engine
The Infiniti Q80 Inspiration Concept features a 3.0-liter V6 engine in a hybrid system. Unfortunately, the factory did not say anything about the details of this system. The only proven fact is that the hybrid system will provide a total of 550 horsepower, which is very impressive. However, the torsion number is still unknown, but the production model seems to be slightly different. For starters, we expect the car to come standard with a 3.0-liter V6 turbocharged engine.
This should be good for anything between 300 and 400 hp and a torque of up to 350 lbs. Higher in the group, the car must also contain a larger and stronger gasoline engine. Unfortunately, there is not much information about this yet. Some suggested that the car could get a double-turbo 4.0-liter V8 provided by the AMG. This would evolve to the north of 480 horsepower and 480 lbs of torque, making the Q80 a truly distinct sedan. All versions are likely to come with a four-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
